We are pleased to announce the launch of the Journal Club at the Department of Biochemistry, organized jointly by the Student Research Groups Explore and Eviona 🤝
This initiative aims to create a space for regular, in-depth discussions of current scientific publications and to develop skills in their critical evaluation đź“–

The Journal Club focuses on publications in:
- 🔍 basic research (basic science)
- đź§« preclinical studies
- 🔗 translational research – bridging laboratory discoveries with their potential clinical applications
👉 Particular emphasis is placed on:
- understanding biological mechanisms 🧬
- assessing methodological quality and learning how to design and interpret studies 📊
- interpreting results in the context of current scientific knowledge đź§

Meetings are held regularly and include:
- 🎤 presentation of a selected publication by a participant
- đź’¬ group discussion of the study design, methodology, and results
- ⚖️ analysis of strengths and limitations

The Journal Club is open to:
